The Popular Show Season Four Unveils the Fighters Group

Ever since the premiere of Campaign 4, fresh DM the talented storyteller has kept fans guessing with extensive world-building, a diverse cast of heroes, and a gripping narrative featuring angels, fiends, and dark forces growing in influence within Dol-Makjar.

Note: Spoilers for Episode 3 of Campaign 4 lie ahead.

The Combat-Oriented Party Unveiled

Episode 3 finished on a huge suspense moment and introduced the first table of characters who will split off from the primary party to begin their own adventure, apart from the other two tables.

This warrior group includes Teor (played by the voice actor), Thimble (Laura Bailey), the strong-willed figure (Whitney Moore), Wicander (Sam), and Kattigan Vale (Robbie Daymond).

Why Split the Party?

With 13 cast members, it was evident from the start that maintaining everyone at the same party would be impossible.

Hence, the first four episodes of the new season serve as an Overture, connecting the personal journeys before branching into three smaller tables: Soldiers, Strategists, and Seekers.

Characteristics of the Warrior Group

According to the Dungeon Master, the warrior group is for players who prefer a classically intense combat and conflict-driven story mode where diplomatic options are rare.

Upon first impression, characters like the squeamish cleric Wicander Halovar might look unsuited, but the actions of the latest installment make it clear why these specific adventurers are ideally matched for the Soldiers table.

Motivations for Departure

To begin with, the group has a clear idea where to go next after a brutal opening clash with The Crow Keepers.

A former ally of Thjazi Fang—whose demise started the narrative’s action—used the enemy for his selfish purposes, invading Thjazi’s hideout, striking the rogue, and swiping all the powerful objects to auction.

Casimir then paid off his obligations and ran away to a fortified location in the northern region, beyond the urban center, with Cyd Pridesire hot on his heels.

Personal Motivations

Additionally, each character has a personal reason to exit Dol-Makjar:

  • The rogue, as the companion and best friend, wants retribution.
  • Kattigan is familiar with the region and cautions that it is a dangerous environment.
  • Tyranny and The healer, having resisted his house’s orders to kill the target and instead freed him, have nowhere else to go.
  • Yet, their position as prominent individuals in the powerful family could help the group access areas they usually can’t.
  • Moreover, The grateful character pledged a eternal obligation to The savior for his rescue and will now follow him everywhere.

Fugitives

Lastly, all of them are sought by the authorities that govern Dol-Makjar for a variety of reasons, making lingering locally too risky:

  • The rogue and The hero are notorious outlaws.
  • The warrior and The healer turned against House Halovar and the army of fiends they are allied with.
  • The target is wanted dead by the clan.

This leaves them few options but to travel to the remote area in pursuit of the traitor.

Future Episodes

According to the latest episode’s Cooldown, we find out that the combat party will not appear in the upcoming installment, leaving the other eight participants to round up the Questers and Planners parties.

Viewers can expect learning which characters will be where in the season’s final introductory chapter, streaming live on October 24.
