Anthony Joshua is set to fight Jake Paul in an eight-round fight which will be broadcast in real-time on Netflix.
Briton Anthony Joshua stated he will "overwhelm entirely" Jake Paul and "break" his opponent as the two fighters met personally to build hype for the upcoming boxing match.
Former two time world title holder Anthony Joshua meets social media star turned fighter Paul - in what is, theoretically, a massive disparity - at Miami Kaseya Center on December 19th.
Fighter's Mentality
"I plan to break his face and break his body up. My goal is to show I'm the better fighter," the British boxer, 35 years old, said.
"I plan to overwhelm him. That's a fighter's mentality.
"I intend to really want to injure him. That's what I want to do."
Respectful Exchange
Despite such comments, a composed Anthony Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - usually recognized for his dramatics - exchanged pleasantries and maintained decorum with each other.
Jake Paul rather attacked former Joshua's opponent the Cameroonian fighter and described him as "not serious" after Ngannou declined a match opportunity.
Taking Aim at Fury
Anthony Joshua, at the same time, criticized UK rival Fury - and declined a £1m bet 'Tyson Fury' states he will put on a victory for Paul.
"Jake Paul is better than Tyson Fury - he's present here," Joshua stated.
"I acknowledge that."
Serious Fighter
Despite declaring he will punish Paul, Joshua refused to talk badly about his rival's fighting skills.
"Jake is a legitimate boxer," he stated.
Paul's Background
Paul - who first rose to fame on the television network - has primarily boxed mixed martial artists or declining opponents since entering professional boxing.
He was defeated by Briton Tommy Fury in 2023.
Commercial Attraction
However, the novice remains one of boxing's biggest commercial attractions, regularly earning substantial financial rewards.
Prediction and Belief
The 28 year old anticipated a KO victory in round four or five and claimed he would prevent the long-awaited Fury-Joshua bout, which is reportedly in the works for 2026.
"The next fight will be my match with Fury in the coming year," Jake Paul said.
